Hamburg / Nürburgring. Just one week after the grueling LMGH 24-hour race on the infamous Nürburgring Nordschleife, the second round of the 2025 ESCC season took place on the GP circuit. Jordan Neumann, Max Krauss, and Mika Hoekstra, driving the #13 FR13DA SPORT Porsche 911 GT3 R, clinched victory at their home race — crossing the finish line just 0.189 seconds ahead of the Quaddash Racing Mercedes-AMG.
Jordan Neumann, who as the designated Bronze-rated driver had to complete qualifying and the race start, secured 9th place on the grid. Shortly after the start, the race was neutralized by one of many full-course yellow phases in the four-hour event on the Nürburgring GP circuit. During this neutralization, Jordan experienced a failure of his steering wheel’s force feedback, leading to a spin at the exit of the AMG Arena. Despite this disadvantage and the frequent cautions, Jordan managed to recover several positions before handing over the Porsche 911 GT3 R to Max Krauss, who continued the charge through the field. Max utilized smart pit strategy and took advantage of incidents ahead to establish himself among the top five in the LMGT3 class early on, taking the lead for the first time around the race's halfway mark.
Mika Hoekstra, who took over for the final stint, displayed exceptional composure in a tense duel with Quaddash Racing. The final 30 minutes were marked by a close and clean battle between Tristan Engelstad and Mika, with the gap between the two cars rarely exceeding half a second. In the end, FR13DA SPORT came out on top.
After four hours and 106 laps of racing, the gap between 1st and 2nd place in the LMGT3 class was just 0.189 seconds. Thanks to a strong team performance, Jordan, Max, and Mika made a significant leap in the championship standings. Heading into preparations for the next races, the team now sits 3rd overall, only 8 points behind the leaders.
